1.  Fine arts degree in painting and illustration from The Massachusetts College of Art and Design

2.  Second degree in Arts Education with teaching permit from K - junior college, then several years of teaching in the field

3.  Designed and painted "Faust", Iolanthe" and "Cosi fan Tutti" for the Arundel Opera Company

4.  Designed and painted the ballet "Combat" for the American Ballet Theater Touring Company

5.  Graduate study in stage, costume and lighting design at Boston University while simultaneously teaching scene painting.  Studied with Horace Armistead (Met Opera) and Raymond Sovey, (Broadway costume and fashion designer and set designer

6.  Executed opera set painting, et al., for Sara Caldwell's opera productions in Boston:

"Sir John in Love", von Williams
 "Voyage to the Moon", Offenbach - American premier at Boston Arts Festival
"Three-penny Opera", Brecht - Lighting asst. to David Hayes
"Barber of Seville", Rossini - painting and asst. to Robert O'Hearn

7.  "The Cave Dwellers", Play by Soroyan -  Designer and scenic artist, Boston Arts Festival

8.  Passed entrance permit test, set design, costume and lighting tests for the New York Scenic Artists and Designers Union, L.U. #829 and the set painting exam as well, allowing full membership for Broadway and movie work in the U.S.

9.  Taught seven years as associate professor of sketching/rendering and set painting at Brandeis Graduate School of Theater and Film, under designer Howard Bay, Broadway designer.  Designed "Antigone", and "Juno and the Peacock"

10.  Executed David Hayes's first act set for world premier of Balanchine's, "Midsummer Night's Dream", Mendelsohn, and costume props for Madame Karinska

11.  Painted:
 "The Magic Flute", Mozart. Washington D.C. Grand Opera
"Carnival" (Anna Maria Alberghetti) musical for Broadway
"Fiddler on the Roof" musical for Broadway
"Kwamina" musical for Broadway
"Gideon"  Biblical drama for Broadway

12.  Chargeman (Scenic Artist in Charge) for the S.F. Opera -  six years
Designed "Pearl Fishers" Bizet for S.F. Opera
Designed "Medea" ballet for the S.F. Ballet

13.  Founded my own studio, Franciscan Graining and Marbling (faux finishes), which provided those services and developed also into a custom mural design and execution studio for eighteen years.  

14.  "Gypsy", the musical, with Hollywood's, Janis Page as Gypsy Rose Lee.
I did the set designs and Emmanual Ungaro, the French-Spanish fashion designer did the costumes, Wayne Chouinard, The Met. Opera's house lighting designer for TV broadcasts, did the lighting.
